Evolution of Combat - Nov 20

Well, you'd have to be living under a rock to have not heard about the upcoming changes to Runescape's Combat System.  I've seen a lot of people who are believe the updates will have a negative impact on gameplay, but I must disagree.  Runescape's current combat system (melee in particular) involves simply clicking once on an enemy in 1 vs 1 situations.  There is absolutely no complexity involved.  Magic has a slight amount more strategy involved, but really, it's all quite mundane.

EoC allows Runescape to implement a more action-based combat system.  I'd say it resembles that of Diablo III at the moment, where you have an action bar and use the 1-9 keys to select your desired type of attack or event.  If we consider the current Runescape system to be a 2/10 on the complexity scale, the EoC seems to be about a 5.  The outcry from the public implies this is going to be uber complicated... it isn't.  Only when compared to one-click attacking, where you could go out, have a smoke, come back, and figure out if you've won or lost, will you find anything much simpler than the new system.

Compare the new system to staking right now.  Players switch back and forth between Aggressive and Defensive style as they are hit, and deal hits.  This actually requires solid timing and constant changing.  I would rate Attack Style switching to be more difficult than the Evolution of Combat.  However, E.o.C. promises to be much more interesting and engaging than simply switching Attack Styles.

Runescape Gold prices are, for the moment, dropping in anticipation of the new updates.  This is because the market is uncertain as to whether or not the changes will increase the game's popularity.  We have still been getting consistent orders ourselves, but we've dropped our prices to compensate for the market shift in price.

Remember that we will be continuing to sell in the Evolution of Combat.  We are the world's #1 Runescape Gold Seller, with over 4 Trillion in sales since 2007.  Do not hesitate to use our Live Support (click here) or check the bottom of the page at www.r2pleasent.com
